Fees & Rebates

Good Light Psychology Clinic believes in providing a service that is accessible to all. Our fees are significantly lower than the Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommended fees schedule so psychological support is affordable to everyone.

All standard consultations are 50 minutes in duration. All psychology services are exempt from GST. Please read below for more information about available rebates.

Please note payment for services are due prior to commencing your consultation.

Referrals 

A referral is required to access Medicare rebates for psychology sessions. You are able to obtain a referral from your General Practitioner (GP), Paediatrician or Psychiatrist. Please note, a referral is not always required to access psychological services but the consultation fee would be more affordable.

Medicare 

Medicare rebates are available under a Mental Health Care Plan and can be obtained by speaking to your GP, if you are eligible.

A Mental Health Care Plan allows you to access Medicare rebates for up to 10 individual sessions and 10 group therapy sessions per person, per calendar year.

After an initial 6 sessions, if required, a re-referral for an additional 4 sessions will be provided by your GP after reviewing your progress.

Your rebate is processed online and is automatically refunded into your bank account.

• $96.65 per standard consultation

Private health insurance

Private health insurers may provide rebates for psychology services – please confirm your level of cover with your insurance provider prior to your consultation. You are unable to receive a rebate from the insurer if you are already engaging in psychology services through Medicare.

Self and Plan Managed NDIS 

We accept self or plan managed for the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

WorkCover or CTP/Motor vehicle injury claims

We accept WorkCover or CTP referrals. Please consult with your WorkCover insurer, employer or treating doctor for more information and approval for sessions. 

​

Presbyterian Counselling Service 

Consultation fees may be covered by the Presbyterian Counselling Service if you are seeking Christian Counselling. Please contact Jericho Road Services for more infomation about Presbyterian Counselling Service.

​

Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 

We are registered with EAP providers. There is no upfront fee and is psychological services are covered by the funding body if approved by the provider. For work-related issues, please consult your employer or Human Resources department at work, or you can contact us to find out more information about eligibility.

Open Arms - Veterans and Families Counselling

Psychology consultation fees may be covered by Open Arms. Please consult with Open Arms or your GP for further information and eligibility.
